New Jersey Wool Walk 2021

Let’s all admit it; we’ve had enough of staying inside. Yes, our UFOs are getting finished. Yes, we are learning new skills as we are home. But it is time to get out and join the world again.

Enter the 2021 New Jersey Wool Walk!

Starting tomorrow, New Jersey will celebrate all that is wonderful about LYS and beautiful yarns. If you decide to participate, you can collect special stitch markers, have access to event-only discounts, and be entered is drawings for multiple prizes.

You can pick up a Wool Walk Passport at any participating yarn shop (get the entire list on the Wool Walk website) for a mere $6. Yarn shops in every corner of New Jersey are participating, so you can join in on all the fun no matter where you live.

Ultimately, however, there are two even more important reasons to participate in the Wool Walk. First, a portion of the money collected will benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Second, it highlights important local businesses in our communities that need our support now more than ever. While we may consider our LYS essential, during the COVID lockdown, they were not considered essential and were not able to do business as usual. By participating in the Wool Walk, we can help to support the businesses we love.

So grab your hooks, needles, and credit card and get ready to indulge in all that is beautiful in merino, alpaca, BFL, and more.
